Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, making a purchase, or using LithophaneLabs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

Our service

LithophaneLabs is a browser-based tool that converts photographs into printable 3D lithophane files (STL, 3MF). Your images are processed locally in your browser — we do not upload them to our servers.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of any significant changes.

Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Lifetime Premium

Premium is a one-time purchase (£10) that unlocks additional features for the operational lifetime of the app.

"Operational lifetime" means for as long as LithophaneLabs remains actively operational and available to users. This is not a promise that the service will operate indefinitely.

What this means:

• Premium features are available for as long as the service operates.
• If we discontinue the service, Premium access will end — we cannot guarantee indefinite availability.
• Premium features may change over time as the service evolves. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes.
• The "lifetime" refers to your access period, not a transferable asset.

Payment terms

All payments are processed securely via Stripe. Prices are shown in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable.

By completing a purchase, you agree to:

• Pay the displayed price for Premium features.
• Provide valid payment information and authorize the transaction.

Refunds

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Our refund policy:

• 14-day window — if you are not satisfied, contact us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. No questions asked, provided Premium features have not been substantially used.
• After 14 days — refunds are at our sole discretion. We may offer partial refunds in exceptional circumstances.
• How to request — email me@paddybuilds.com with your account email and purchase details.

This policy complies with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 for digital content.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
• Infringe on the rights of others (copyright, trademark, privacy, etc.).
• Upload or generate content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, hateful, or discriminatory.
• Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or its underlying systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the service, servers, or networks.
• Use the service to generate spam, malware, or malicious content.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, without prior notice.

Termination

By you — you may delete your account at any time via the account settings, or by contacting us. Deleting your account will remove your profile data within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements for billing records.

By us — we may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You breach these terms.
• We are required to do so by law.
• We discontinue the service.

Upon termination, your right to use the service stops immediately. Billing records will be retained as required by law.

Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. You use the service at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
• Our total liability for any claims arising from these terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for Premium (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.
• This limitation does not apply to: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; (c) any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Third-party services

Our service uses third-party providers (Supabase for authentication, Stripe for payments, Vercel for hosting). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or terms of these third parties. Please review their policies separately.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the new terms.
